Women’s Day celebrations in Tuscany
The women employees of the Rudnik company celebrated the International Women’s Day in the heart of Tuscany. On the first day, they visited Florence, one of the world’s tourist gems. They paid a visit to the following sights: Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Piazza della Signoria, the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral (Duomo), the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower, Dante’s birthplace, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Uffizi. On the second day, they toured the picturesque Chianti region, world famous for its wines, and also visited the medieval town of San Gimignano – “a town of towers”. On the third day, they took a full-day trip to Pisa and Lucca. In Pisa, they visited the unique Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), namely the Baptistery of St John, which Dante depicted as “beautiful”, the Cathedral (Duomo), built in the splendid Florentine style and the Leaning Tower, one of the most loved symbols of Italy. After that, they paid a visit to the beautiful town of Lucca and its sights: Piazza Napoleone, Piazza dell’Anfiteatro and Piazza San Michele, St Martin’s Cathedral (Duomo di San Martino), the birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini, etc. The several-day tour began and ended in Montecatini Terme.
