Golden year for the Ilic sisters

On 24th April, at an event in Sremska Mitrovica, Ivana Ilic won two gold medals in the 100 and 300 metres. On 1st May, at the International athletics event in Bar, Ivana won 2 gold medals and beat her personal record twice. At the same competition, Nevena won a silver medal in the 100 metres and finished fifth in the 200 metres.

On 10th May, at the tenth School Olympics in Vranje, Nevena Ilic took the first place in the competition of secondary schools, and Ivana the second place in the competition of primary schools.

In mid-May, at the Belgrade Trophy event, Nevena placed fourth and Ivana first in the 100 metres with a new personal record. On 15th May in Krusevac, the sisters won three more gold medals – Nevena won gold for the 100 metres, Ivana won gold in the long jump 4.77m, gold in the 100 metres and a new personal record 12:35, which is only five hundredths away from the standard of the European competition for young juniors.
